Today I talked with Peter Koning from Entra Marketing about current financial situation in affiliate marketing and we both agreed, that recession for sure didn't touched Affiliate marketing business yet, but it is growing even more as it was before.
Newspapers and TV are every day full of bad examples how current situation harmed thousands lifes. But why nobody mentioned until now, that there are also industries which are still growing every day more and more and also simple people can earn on affiliate commissions even more as they earned in regular job?
I will not speak in theory, but I will show you example on our Company!
Affiliate marketing is exactly, what can help you sell more products nearly with no costs!
- This is exactly what need companies - cut costs, but still sell more to survive this recession.
- This is exactly what need simple people - start earning without investment
What need affiliates to earn first $1000 ?
1. select good affiliate program - best is to promote products in which affiliate believes
2. register as affiliate in this program
3. write few posts in forums or blogs about products he decided to promote and use his affiliate link in posts
4. wait for first sales and payouts :-) -> hmmm... better is to continue promoting to attract more visitors in next posts - to be super affiliate is long run
Affiliate's investment was just his time he spent on Internet. Is it expensive to start ? I believe not and growing number of new affiliates signed into our affiliate program shows, that it works this way.
Here in Quality Unit we never received so much sales through our affiliates as it is in last 3 months in whole history of company! Also number of new affiliates is growing faster as before.
What needs company to increase sales ?
1. buy affiliate good software - it is minimum investment comparing to possible income
2. offer attractive commissions to your affiliates - nobody will promote you, if you will not want to share profit with affiliates - e.g. in QualityUnit we offer up to 50% commissions (by single sale affiliate can earn e.g. $250)
3. search for super affiliates - those, who have blogs, make periodically posts in forums about similar products like you sell
Is it so simple ?
Yes, it is! During time I wrote this post (45 minutes) our affiliates earned for promoting of Post Affiliate Pro $346 on commissions and it generated for us income $1079!
From feedback from our customers is situation the same everywhere. So I ask, where is the recession? Can simple people earn enough money for life even if they were fired from regular job?
As Peter mentioned to me during our talking today, he published already in December on his blog interesting post with title "People Needed! Open Positions for Online and Affiliate Marketing Jobs"

Hey Peter Koning! I see your name up there in lights...they say it's a small world and I'm beginning to really take that statement literally. I was passing through to go order the Affiliate Marketing software and saw your name out of the corner of my eye. That package really looks sturdy like the big boys use but the price is only $49 -- I don't think that can be beat anywhere else. Yes, your payment is on it's way too. That's 49-50 split for almost $100. The store is picking up sales now - Yippee...Bye for now!

One thing will always be true -- people will want to buy good products and services that will help them earn money. If there is any effect from a "bad economy", then it will actually improve sales of such products and services. The thing to always keep in mind in business is that it's all about helping people. When you offer something that people want and feel they can afford (whether they can really afford it or not is another matter), then you can earn good money. There were quite a few businesses, and even a couple of industries (TV and radio, for instance), that grew and become successful during the Great Depression of the 1930s. That pretty much proves that you can build a business any time, no matter what may be happening in the world. Of course, during "hard times", it may not be as easy to sell junk and frivolous knick-knacks, but who really wants to base a business on such nonsense? Also, businesses that simply buy and sell goods under the assumption that prices will go up in the future are also on shaky ground during these times.
Yes, exactly. I think affiliate has to be first, who believes in quality of product, which is promoted. Than the chance that he will earn is higher, because he will be able to "sell" idea, why his customer needs referred product too. We should see this crisis positive, because it will clearly filter high quality products from junks.
