In latest release of Post Affiliate Pro 4 we introduced new Forced Matrix feature previously introduced in PAP3. A lot of our customers waited for this feature impatiently, some of them even didn't upgrade from PAP3 to PAP4 because they missed it in PAP4. During writing of documentation of this feature I thought about reasons why merchants should use this feature.

I see as one of the main reasons why I would use this feature fact, that I don't want to loose new affiliates registered in my affiliate program. I want to keep them motivated to stay with us and try to sell my products even if at the beginning they don't perform so well.
I would like to ask community of experienced affiliate marketers, if they know about any other reason, why is this feature so important.
I will extend our description in knowledge base with every valuable opinion you will post here.

Seriosly, why you spend time on something like this when even the Banner possibilitys have not been improved from pap3 to pap4 ? There is no way to setup own bannertypes, this should be a default for such a "much time spend on" software. Actually we are disapointed about the Rating of your team which is considered about as important improvements. How about the "google" function for Banners recognizing the content of the affiliates website ? so the affiliate would not have to choose a correct banner, instead the bannercode will show a banner considered by the software as "banner -> content" are most similar. THIS is stuff which is important and will influence affiliates start or giveup on not easy enough integration and understanding. Affiliates dont have time, it must go fast and easy. This has been missed in your update from pap3 to pap4. PAP is about showing banners, so this primary function should have been worked out first. By the way, did you even recognized that no serios affiliate will use the javascript banner code? No ? well the reason maybe is creating a "forced matrix" which is a far steps less important than the big questions about the affiliate sotware. Now you say no problem, they can use a img code, but do you know this situation will create problems with the merchants want to change jpg/gif/flash files without having the affiliate to request to update the code? html banner also is useless for this kind of option. We waited so long for the update, but now, there is no improvement of the software which our affiliates could feel. we are serios an no "low money" advertisers, therefore we have the big fishes affiliates which requires intelligent solutions. I would like to see some interest in my message text here, if you want to go more into detail of the bannercode, i would be happy about contact via provided email.
Hi TomTom, Forced Matrix may not be important for you, but many customers requested it. There were more requests for Forced Matrix than for custom banner types. I've just sent you mail about custom banner types as I need some clarification on this.

We don't do just big features, but also small improvements requested by our customers - you can check it in our change log, which grows every week. We decided to invest into development of forced matrix, because it is used by MANY customers - we would never implement it for free, if one or two customers will need it.
