What will be the differences between Post Affiliate Pro Network and the existing Post Affiliate Pro 4?

Post Affiliate Pro Network edition will include extension which add Affiliate Network features: possibility to create many merchant accounts, each merchant account can define its own campaigns and promotion materials. Merchant account campaigns will be promoted by affiliates owned by network owner. Technically it is implemented as feature. NOTE: All "Ultimate" edition customers will get it for free.

This is huge news. Can't wait to check it out and I'd be happy to do a beta review.

This is fantastic news. I have been checking back on this site every couple of weeks for the last 18 months in the hope to see an announcement about the release of a PAP Network version. You have just made my day !!! I will have to start checking back every week now :-)

PAP Network feature will not replace big affiliate networks like CJ, but will fit to marketing companies, which want to promote products of multiple merchants

I require fairly basic Network features. Will individual Merchants have independent tracking for their own campaigns and have their own base of approved affiliates ? I.e an affiliate on the Network can be associated with, say, Merchant A, Merchant B but not Merchant C. If this same affiliate has a banner for Merchant A on their website then I trust they will not earn any commission if somebody clicks on this banner but subsquently makes a purchase from Merchant B ? Thanks Matt

Matt: - merchant will have his own tracking code in his shopping cart/payment processor. - merchant can use all affiliates (owned by network owner) - if visitorX click on CampaignA (through AffiliateY link) which belongs to merchantA, but later make sale in merchantB store, then AffiliateY will NOT get commission.

Sounds good. I'll be snapping up a PAP4 "Ultimate" licence as soon as the network edition is released. Thanks again for the announcement.

Dear Viktor, why do you think PAP Network feature will not be a software basis to start networks like CJ? Is the capability to handle enormous amounts of traffic limited by PAP Network feature? I'm looking forward to your answer. Best regards

Hi Tobias, having an affiliate network like CJ needs a lot of other features that we do not plan for first release of our network. It also needs a lot of customizations as everyone has different expectations how the network should work. If you want to have traffic like CJ you won't able to do it with one server and so far we do not have a distributed version of PAP that could easily work on multiple servers. Also the price for the solution that would allow you to make network like CJ would be higher. Best regards Michal Bebjak

Hi Michal, We have planed to integrate PAP4 in our Business Package for our customer. What your thinks is the better way. Use an PAP4 installation for each customer or use the Post Affiliate Pro Network edition and open for each customer an merchant accout? Best regards, Uwe

Hi Uwe, this depends on who will manage affiliates: 1. If every customer will manage its own affiliates, then its better to have separate installation for each customer. 2. If you will manage affiliates and offer it as a service for your customers, then it is better to use Network edition. Best regards, Michal Bebjak

It's too bad you don't have this available now. I'm mid launching a new affiliate network and would have liked to try this out. Once we've launched it's going to be very difficult to switch to a new platform. Perhaps you have a beta version available? If so: email me I'd be very interested.

Hi Bill, so far we have no beta version. It is too soon.

Bummer. You should email me the minute you have something I can test. Hopefully I will not be stuck in my current solution by then.

one more question. Is that mean you are combine PostMemberPro+PAP4 ?

Hi Nick, network owner will pay all the affiliates. Then he will ask network merchants to pay him affiliate commissions + fee that they agreed. Accounting between network owner and network merchant will be very basic in this version. Network won't be combination of PostMemberPro and PAP4. But some changes we are making in order to make network work will enable us to introduce some PostMemberPro features to PAP4 later.

I think it should be included with your Ultimate package. Or allow others to upgrade for $1000. This would be a bargain compared to other solutions out there.

Yes, also internally we spoke about option, that price of our affiliate network software will be between $1000 and $2000. I think it will be hard competition for other affiliate network softwares, which cost $10k or more, because our will contain many unique features, which are often not included even in softwares for $10k-$20k. It is question if Ultimate edition should contain this network feature, because than we will need to increase price of Ultimate edition and some customers interested just in Ultimate edition doesn't need Network feature in it. For them would be better to keep Ultimate edition on same price without Network. Main idea of Ultimate Edition is, that owner of this edition will have access to all new features without any extra cost (including lifetime upgrades). E.g. we work now on GeoIp module or Split commissions feature, which will be part of Ultimate edition for free, when we will release it.
