We want to give to all merchants running their affiliate program on Post Affiliate Pro powerful and safe affiliate software, which will protect their money against different kinds of attacks.

Starting from version 4.4.1 will contain Post Affiliate Pro extensive fraud protection mechanism. Up to version 4.4. you were able to activate basic protection against duplicate sales or clicks. In new release you will have following options in fraud protection settings:

Clicks Fraud Protection

- PAP4 can recognize clicks from same IP address within defined time range as fraud (you can check it per banner or over all banners)

- PAP can mark as fraudulent clicks from blacklisted IP ranges

- PAP can mark as fraudulent clicks from selected countries (part of PAPGeoIp feature)

You can decide if commissions for such clicks will be declined or not saved.

Sales/Leads/Actions Fraud Protection

- PAP can recognize duplicate sales registered from same IP address in defined time range

- PAP can recognize duplicate orders with same order id

- PAP can mark as fraudulent sales from banned IP address ranges

- PAP can automatically mark as fraudulent also sales from defined list of countries (part of PAPGeoip feature)

In each fraud protection condition you can define, if such commissions will not be saved or just declined (later you can approve them if you will review manually such sales)

Sign up Fraud Protection

- PAP can block affiliate sign up in case in defined time range will affiliate try to login multiple times

- PAP can block sign up from banned IP ranges

- PAP can block sign ups from defined list of countries (part of PAPGeoip feature)

When fraud protection can save your money?

As you can see, new version 4.4.1 will come with many great options how to protect your affiliate program against attacks.

If you can't imagine how to use fraud protection, I will mention few examples:

Example 1

Imagine, that you pay your affiliates for clicks (PPC) and one of your affiliates (or more affiliates) will try to "buy traffic" from India.

Such traffic has no value for you, because visitors from this country will never buy your products.

To solve this situation, you will just block all clicks from India by black listing India in fraud protection form.

Example 2

One of your affiliates will arrange clicks from specific network (you can see all clicks are from same IP range - often requests executed by any kind of virus).

Solution will be simple. You will just blacklist all clicks from attacker IP range.

Blacklisting of IPs will be very easy in Post Affiliate Pro. You can define comma separated list of IPs or IP ranges. You will have following options how to select banned IP addresses:

1. exact match of IP addresses: e.g. 192.168.1.1, 189.192.168.16

2. wildcard match: e.g. 192.168.1.*, 189.192.*.*

3. ip range (from IP to IP): e.g. 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.255

4. subnet mask range in multiple formats:

a) [dot quad ip]/[ bitmask ] (e.g. 192.168.0.0/16)

b) [dot quad ip]/[ dot quad netmask ] (e.g. 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0)

c) [dot quad ip]/[ hex string netmask ] (e.g. 192.168.0.0/ffff0000)

All mentioned syntaxes you can combine in comma or new line separated list.

Example 3

Imagine, that your are running local business and it has no sense for you to have partners from different countries.

Therefore you want to accept in your affiliate program just partners from your country.

Solution will be to blacklist all affiliate registrations from all countries except your country.

As you see in my examples, you will save time and money, if you will let Post Affiliate Pro automatically protect your partners program for you - you will not need to do a lot of manual and time consuming work.
