Post Affiliate is free affiliate system written in PHP. It is simple and easy to use. It contains the basic necessary functionality that allows you to set up and maintain your own affiliate program.
Post Affiliate is based on PHP-Affiliate, but rewritten and improved with some new features, several bug and security holes fixes. Easy to customize (customizations require some PHP knowledge).
Why to use an affiliate program? Having an affiliate program is one of the best and cheapest ways to increase sales and achieve higher targeted traffic. Affiliate marketing is very effective solution, because it allows you to base advertising on a pay-per-performance model.

History of Post Affiliate
When I was looking for free PHP scripts for affiliate system, I found PHP-Affiliate (version 1.2). Firstly I wanted just to customize it and use it, but soon I realised it is a code of poor quality. It is based on good ideas which can be reused, but the code had to be rewriten from a big part.
So I improved the code, corrected major security holes and other problems. It took me 2 days to come out with first version of Post Affiliate, and this is the result.
It has the same set of features as PHP-Affiliate and some advantages:
- it can work if register_variables is Off
- some security fixes (many of them serious)
- better basic architecture
- better logic and action flow
Post Affiliate uses exactly the same database structure as PHP-Affiliate 1.2, so you should be able to update from PHP-Affiliate to Post Affiliate only by replacing the scripts. In fact, I found few serious security holes in PHP-Affiliate v.1.2, so I highly highly recommend to make an upgrade.

Professional version - Post Affiliate Pro
Have you reached the limits of Post Affiliate Free? Post Affiliate Pro is a professional version with lots of advanced features that simplify the management of affiliate system and give you more possibilities. It contains the functionality that makes it one of the best affiliate management systems available.
Professional (Pro) version was developed because I reached the limitations of free version architecture when trying to add new major features. For really serious improvements it was necessary to build a completely new system from the scratch. Post Affiliate Pro is new system, it does not share any code from the free version.
Free version contains all the basic functionality necessary to run affiliate system, but it is only about 10-20% of the Pro version features.
