Post Affiliate Network (PAN) is built on the Post Affiliate Pro affiliate tracking platform, proven by more than 15,000 affiliate program installations. It offers all of the same great features available in Post Affiliate Pro, and it allows the option to connect multiple merchants into one affiliate network.

Post Affiliate Network supports three basic types of users: 

• Network Owner - a special type of merchant who has full control over all affiliates and all merchant accounts. Network owners can fully customize the design of the merchant and affiliate panel, configure tracking settings, fraud protection and more. At the same time the network owner can run a  marketing campaign for all of his/her affiliates as a special type of merchant. The network owner is responsible for affiliate payouts as well.
• Merchant - Network owners can allow entry into their network for an unlimited number of merchants. With each merchant he/she can define their own rules and fees for using the affiliates' power. The merchant has to pay to the network owner commissions generated in the affiliate program, plus any fees. The merchant never pays money directly to affiliates in the affiliate network - it is responsibility of network owner.
• Affiliate - promotes products offered by merchants or network owner. This person is payed by the network owner from commissions paid to the network owner by the merchant

1. Can the owner of Post Affiliate Pro upgrade to Post Affiliate Network without loss of data ?

Yes, it is possible to upgrade without losing data. First of all, you will need to get the license for Post Affiliate Network. With a license of PAN, you will get access to the distribution file of Post Affiliate Network. All you will need to do is to upgrade your existing Post Affiliate Pro installation with new distribution files of Post Affiliate Network then revalidate your license. It is important to remember that downgrading back from Post Affiliate Network will not be possible!

2. What is the main difference between standard affiliate program software and affiliate network software ?

The difference is in the merchants' structure, affiliates won't need to see any difference.

In-house Affiliate Program software - suitable for one affiliate program (can contain multiple campaigns) and one main merchant (multiple merchant feature allows to manage same affiliate program for more admins, but it is still just one affiliate program).

Affiliate Network software - multiple/separated merchant accounts. Each merchant can setup their own affiliate program, including own campaigns and promo materials. All merchants try to attract the same affiliates with their campaigns. Network owners can manage merchants and affiliates.
